Atlassian ICYMI April & May 2025
Since my last update from Team 25 in Anaheim at the beginning of April, it has been non stop in the Atlassian ecosystem. The changes to Rovo have been rolling out and I am very excited to see that come to my own instance.
The new UI is taking full affect. Great improvements in some areas around Confluence, with more teething challenges in parts of Jira. We have even seen the Workday and other automation improvements roll out. But what is next? Let’s take a look at some of the more recent announcements regarding product updates.
Atlassian’s new research into developer experience
Atlassian today released their new research report on how developers view their workplace environment. It is safe to say that the overall census is not a good one.
Confluence whiteboards & the benefits whiteboarding bring
Formerly the Point-A product, Fabric, Confluence now has access to native whiteboard functionality. During day 2 of the team ‘23 event, Atlassian announced the EAP of the new functionality. Lets quickly recap some of this stuff.
Team 23 schedule announced
If you haven’t worked this out yet, you must have been living under a rock. This year, we return to Vegas, for what is guaranteed to be an amazing week. Team ‘23, the Flagship Atlassian event that will bring us all the big announcements and opportunities for us Atlassian enthusiasts to meet up and get chatting.
Before we get chatting about the schedule that was released this week in detail and where you may be able to find me, lets just remind ourselves of the four tracks you can align to.
Atlassian Unleash Wrapped
So that’s a wrap for here in Berlin. Atlassian Unleash was a blast for so many reasons, including having a chance to present with Appfire on reducing tech debt, so lets break it down and see what we learnt. Atlassian wanted the Unleash event to deep dive into the agile & DevOps experiences within the ecosystem. We saw the keynote focus on some of Atlassian’s newest adventures in the form of Jira Product Discovery & Compass.
