Work Management & Collaboration
Atlassian announce Jan17, 2025 that Confluence is getting a UI & Visuals refresh. Some of you may have even started seeing some of these changes. All of this work is being built on since the Brand refresh at Team 24. For all information on the brand refresh, read here. This announcement for Confluence visuals refresh, announced over the community, is being worked on to achieve four main objectives:
Cross-product cohesion — The visual refresh will roll out across several Atlassian products so that navigating from one product to the next feels coherent and becomes easier than ever before.
More productivity — Through a clear and consistent visual language we’re reducing visual noise and making it easier for users to focus on the task at hand.
More visual appeal — One of our goals was to create a brand experience that feels human and tangible, despite being digital, to make our products more modern, relatable, and engaging for users.
Increased usability — Our modernized icons provide clearer navigation and our type choices and colors provide better accessibility.
Everything from, typography & iconography to components and colours is getting a refresh. To have a look over the majority of changes, below are before and after photos.

Towards the end of December, Atlassian made a new announcement. JSM & Slack will come ever closer with the use of the new Atlassian Intelligence functionality. The new Summarise incident option is designed to help new incoming support engineers to get up to speed much quicker. It will create a clear incident timeline that will show off a step by step recording of the incident from messages from both JSM & Slack. All of this work, designed to get new teams up to speed quick & ultimately have your incident resolved faster.

SCMI API Keys will now be limited to ONE year. No longer unlimited. While his change was implemented just before Christmas, it has only just been announced through product updates. So who may this affect? This change applies only when you:
Set up user provisioning for the first time
Regenerate an existing SCIM API key
Atlassian have stated “This change does not affect existing SCIM API keys for now.” Be aware that this will mean you and your admins need to be putting in calendar reminders or having a break glass account to not have any authentication problems.
SCIM expiration date
Goals & Projects officially become part of the platform. What was once Atlas is now fully part of the cloud platform, meaning it is FREE for all customers.
